The city of Salem is located in the United States of America state of Oregon and is pretty well know for its wines. It is however not the wines of Salem that is its claim to fame, but witches.
Salem has many shops and museums that feature a witch-like theme and the Salem Witch Museum and the Witch Dungeon Museum are two examples. Behind the Salem Witch Museum you will also find a burial ground, which is reputed to be the oldest in the United States. While walking or traveling through the streets of the city, you will find many shops all based around this theme. There are plenty of fortunetellers, spiritual healers and shops selling crystals and other witch and pagan related phenomena.

When traveling to Salem you can enter through the Portland International Airport which is about an hours drive away from Salem. From the Portland International Airport you can either get a rental car or drive to Salem or you can take a taxi to the Portland Station and catch the Amtrak Cascades line which is a train service, going to Salem. Your other alternative is to find out whether the hotel you are staying at offers a shuttle service to and from the airport. If not, there are some private shuttle services available in Portland that will be able to take you to Salem. Just make sure that you book such a service in advance.
